Vote-by-Mail Ballot Renewal

Due to recent changes in election law, all mail ballot requests expired on December 31, 2022. Voters wishing to vote by mail in the upcoming 2024 primary and general elections are required to make a new request by visiting VoteIndianRiver.gov or calling the Supervisor of Elections office at 772-226-4700. The deadline to request that a Vote-by-Mail ballot be mailed to you is no later than 5:00 p.m. on the 12th day before the election. If the deadline has passed, you may still vote during Early Voting or on Election Day.

Presidential Preference Primary March 19, 2024

Florida is a closed primary election state. Only voters who are registered members of political parties may vote for respective party candidates or nominees for an office in a Primary Election. All registered voters, regardless of party affiliation, may vote on issues and non-partisan races during a Primary Election. Voters can change their party affiliation by submitting an updated Voter Registration Application at any time, but the change must be made 29 days before a Primary Election to be effective for that election (February 20, 2024 for the March 19, 2024 Presidential Preference Primary). At a general election, all registered voters receive the same ballot and may vote for any candidate or question on the ballot. For more information, visit the Supervisor of Elections at VoteIndianRiver.gov or call the Elections office at 772-226-4700.
