The Town clerk has a wide range of responsibilities that include acting as the Clerk to the Town Council, recording all official proceedings of the Town, serving as the official custodian of Town records, ordinances and resolutions, and serves as the administrative coordinator for the Town Council. The Town Clerk also manages all municipal elections and serves as the Town liaison with the Supervisor of Elections, the State Commission on Ethics and other governmental entities.

Voters wishing to vote by mail in the upcoming 2024 Primary Election and General Election are required to make a new request by either visiting voteindianriver.gov, calling the Supervisor of Elections office at 772-226-4700 or clicking on one of the following forms (English or Spanish) and returning it directly to the Supervisor of Elections office. The deadline to request that a Vote-by-Mail ballot be mailed to you is no later than 5:00 p.m. on the 12th day before the election. Ballots for the August 20, 2024 Primary Election will be mailed after July 11, 2024 to the address you provide to the Supervisor of Elections. Ballots for the November 5, 2024 General Election will be mailed after September 26, 2024 to the address you provide to the Supervisor of Elections.
